Next Generation Immersive Training
From the day Virtualise 360 was created we have had a strong focus on enhancing training and safety, and the use of immersive and digital technologies provides the foundation for everything we do, because we know it works.
Improved knowledge retention by over 80% – just one of the many statistics used to promote the use of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) in training scenarios. We prefer to use our own metrics, provided by years of developing and implementing training simulations and aids to a whole range of industries from nuclear to maritime we’ve got it covered.
We develop training solutions which are not just technical solutions but also consider the psychological elements of training and safety and work with some of the industries best to make sure we maximise the effectiveness of our applications.
Offshore Simulator – Keelson Marine
Working with our partners, Keelson Marine Insurance LLC we have developed a complete training simulator using VR technology. It can be deployed either in their training facility in Houston, Texas but also in the field where the flexibility to train teams in situ can bring huge efficiencies across organisations.
The cost is a fraction of traditional simulators, providing the opportunity to have in-house simulators developed specifically for your business and the flexibility means it can be developed over time, adding in modules, functions and scenarios quickly and easily.
The simulator had been specifically designed to be intuitive and easy to operate. The ability to be deployed by anyone, anywhere at anytime is the fundamental basis for the simulator – a step change in the way training is provided in the Maritime sector and beyond.
HV Switch Panel Training – Bachmann Group
Working with a well respected training centre in the UK we were tasked with replicating a simulator which had been used in the past but had been taken out of commission. The simulator itself was deemed to be far too expensive to re-build or replace so they looked to VR so they could revive a very popular training programme and also offer students a more flexible and engaging experience.
We worked with the client to understand exactly the requirements for the course and, utilising our in-house maritime expertise we were able to develop a fully functional, highly accurate and visually accurate simulator.
This was all completed with no initial outlay for the client who ‘hire’ the simulator from Virtualise 360 on a candidate by candidate basis. We supply the complete VR kit and provide some basic training on the system so the VR simulator can be deployed by their in house trainers either on their premises or at their clients location. This is another application of our system which is designed to be deployed by anyone, anywhere at anytime, it really is as simple as it sounds.
Operator Training – Sellafield Limited
We developed a digital replica of a cell in a major new build on a nuclear licensed site which was a bolt on to an existing project we had been contracted to deliver. This involved the handling of two new Kooka arms that had been designed for use as part of a reprocessing plant. The task was to replicate the robot arms accurately so the operators could train well before the plant had even started to be assembled.
